Campus planters (Eco-Printing Studies)
2024, eco-print and natural dye powders on paper, dimensions variable.
Eco-printing is a hybrid printmaking and resist-dye technique in which the premise is to print abstractly from the shape and existing pigment of natural elements. To eco-print, use gathered materials such as flowers, leaves, plants, fruits, (etc.) and press them into mordant-soaked paper or fabric, then bind and steam. For these prints on paper, I used madder, turmeric, and logwood natural dye powders in addition to create these color-saturated compositions.
